Dear St. Matthew parishioners,
It is an honor to write to you as your Pastor. I am very thankful to God and our Archdiocesan administration for offering this assignment to me. Although it was hard to leave my last assignment, I accept this assignment with joy and great hope.
I guess best is to offer a bit of background so that you might know me a bit better. I grew up in Green Bay - graduating from Abbot Pennings High School. I then attended St. Norbert College and graduated from Cardinal Stritch College with a teaching degree in Special Education. My Seminary training was completed at Catholic Theological Union in Chicago, IL and joined the Archdiocese of Milwaukee in 1990. I audited classes while completing my degree at Catholic Theological Union. I was ordained in 1992 and have enjoyed the honor of being a priest for the past 24 years.
My hopes at this time is that All of our Parish and Chapel Communities can work together, celebrate our faith with dedication and joy, pray well, reach out to those in need, and reflect God's love to all. As two clustered parishes we will celebrate our faith in word and deed, work well together as true faith communities while at the same time remaining two parishes with the chapels being a part of our parish life.
As faith communities, I have already experienced our great communities that have members who truly strive to live their faith. It is a privilege to join in our journey of faith and I look forward to our future together.
