All service hours for students should be turned in to the Religious Education Office. All parish high school students are expected to complete 30 hours of service by Confirmation. Of these 30, 15 hours should be for the community and 15 hours should be for the parish. Youth are encouraged to turn in completed service hours to the Religious Education Office on a regular basis. Service transcripts are available on request . Teens are also encouraged to continue turning in hours even after reaching their 30 required hours as a way of tracking service experiences for when it is time to apply for college scholarships.
Life Teen Program Components
Life Teen is a comprehensive youth ministry program for teens in grades 9-12 that has a strong focus on the Eucharist. The goal of Life Teen is to provide an environment in which teens can feel loved and accepted and can grow closer to Jesus Christ.
Teens gather for Mass with their families. Following Mass, there is a community potluck in the cafeteria. Life Teen then starts in the Gymnasium and provides an opportunity for the teens to learn about the truths of the Catholic faith in creative and challenging ways.
