Grades 6-8 Religious Ed

The goal of our religious education program is to draw our young people into a deeper relationship with God through active participation in the life and ministry of the Church.  Faith development begins in the home and parents are the primary teachers and models of our faith.  The religious education program of St. Matthew strives to support, guide, and supplement the faith nurtured in the home.

St. Matthew Religious Education Program integrates the following components into each level of a child’s faith development:

  • Fundamental Catholic Truths
  • Scripture
  • Prayer and Sacraments
  • Catholic Traditions
  • Catholic moral teaching and Respect for Life
  • Christian Service
  • Youth Ministry special topic nights built into the regular Religious Ed calendar
  • Additional optional youth ministry opportunities for middle school students

Students use the RCL Benziger 'Blest Are We' Religious Education Program.
